India have won 85 medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, including 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze. With the Games not completely concluded and Uzbekistan still having equestrian events remaining, India’s final position in the overall standings is yet to be confirmed.
India’s 85-medal haul made Aichi-Nagoya its second-highest medal tally at the Asian Games. The country’s best campaign came at Hangzhou, where India won 28 gold medals and more than 100 medals overall.
China topped the Aichi-Nagoya standings with 169 gold, 89 silver and 83 bronze medals for 341 medals. Japan finished second with 83 gold, 95 silver and 91 bronze, while South Korea was third with 39 gold, 43 silver and 68 bronze.
India’s strongest disciplines included athletics, shooting and archery. Athletics produced 24 medals, including one gold, nine silver and 14 bronze. Shooting contributed 15 medals, while archery finished with nine.
India also won three gold medals each in boxing and five gold medals in archery. Wrestling produced six medals, including two gold, while cricket, hockey and kabaddi each delivered gold medals in both men’s and women’s events.
