India's star Wushu player Roshibina Devi has won silver medal in the Asian Games. She missed out on winning the gold medal as she lost to China's Zhang Xiaoyu. Third medal in Asian Games
This is Roshibina's third medal in the Asian Games. He won the silver medal in the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. He got a bronze medal in the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. This time, in her journey to reach the final, Roshibina also defeated Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy of Vietnam. Nguyen is the 2023 world champion.

Why was there controversy over selection?
Let us tell you that young player Divyanshi Choudhary had defeated Roshibina in the selection trials but after Divyanshi got injured, Roshibina was included in the team. After being out of the team, Divyanshi had accused Roshibina of harassment.
Apart from Roshibina, no Indian Wushu player could win a medal. In the Sanda event, Aryan lost in the quarterfinals of the men's 56 kg category. In the women's 52 kg category, Aparna was eliminated in the pre-quarterfinals. In men's 75 kg category, Vikrant Baliyan lost in the first match.
Taolu player also away from medal
India's Taolu players also could not reach the medal round. In the women's Nanquan and Nandao event, Langlentombi Devi Hanjabam finished ninth with 18.839 points. In the women's Changquan event, freshman Wangsu finished 15th with 9.573 points. Suraj Singh Mayangalambam performed well in the men's Changquan final, but finished 11th.
