South Korea’s Incheon International Airport claimed the second position in Asia-Pacific’s air connectivity just after Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China.
It ranked ahead of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, according to the Air Connectivity Index by Airports Council International which covers 315 airports, 277 in Asia-Pacific and 38 in the Middle East, ranging from under 1 million to more than 95 million passengers a year.
It combines direct, indirect and hub connectivity, weighing each available seat by the economic weight of the destination served and the quality of the connection.

Ranked the world’s second best airport after Singapore Changi in the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards, Incheon handled 38.39 million international passengers in the first half of this year, a 6.3% increase from the same period last year.
The airport connects directly to approximately 161 non-stop destinations in over 50 countries and territories worldwide.
It serves hundreds of flights daily from major airlines such as Korean Air, Asiana Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
