Assembly Elections: Big news is coming out regarding assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. It is being said that elections in these five states may be held in November or December this year. In fact, this is under consideration to avoid any hindrance in the second phase of the census proposed in February next year.

In view of this, the BJP leadership has warned all the state units regarding this. Also, instructions have been given for election preparations. Actually, elections are proposed in these states in February-March. The problem is that during this time the second phase of the census will start and will run from February 9 to February 28. In such a situation, all the employees will be engaged in this census work. In such a situation, many problems may arise in conducting elections.
It is being said that, if assembly elections are held in these states in November-December, then the voter list will not become a hindrance. That is because the process of SIR in these states is in the final stage. If necessary, the final voter list to be prepared in January can be finalized three months ahead of schedule.
At the same time, there is a stir among the opposition parties regarding the assembly elections to be held in five states. Opposition party leaders are preparing for the elections. In UP, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is continuously touring the districts and brainstorming on election preparations. Along with this, Congress has also started preparations. Actually, SP and Congress will contest the UP assembly elections in alliance.
