Mathura:In the sensational case of attempt to kill Rural Engineering Department Junior Engineer (JE) Vikrant Bharti by crushing him with a car after a minor altercation near Gokul Restaurant, the police took prompt action and arrested the main accused Deepak Sharma. There was a stir in the police department after the incident. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the police tightened the legal screws against the accused and carried out arrest action.
SP City Rajeev Kumar Singh said that on August 31, after a minor altercation, JE Vikrant Bharti was attacked with a car at Gokul Restaurant on J Pass Highway under Govind Nagar police station area. In connection with this audacious incident, a case under attempt to murder was registered in Govind Nagar police station.
After the incident, the police took the matter seriously and activated teams to nab the accused. After police alertness and investigation, main accused Deepak Sharma was arrested. The police is presenting the accused before the court for remand.
Strict stance on serious incidents
SP City bluntly said that no leniency will be shown towards any accused who commits such an audacious and serious crime. The police is busy collecting all the evidence in the case. After the investigation is completed, the charge sheet will be filed in the court soon.
