However, the on-field umpire did not give out. After this, discussion started among South African players regarding taking review. Bavuma ultimately decided to take DRS. In the replay, all three signals came ‘red’ due to the direction and impact of the ball and Bartlett was declared out. He returned to the pavilion after playing a quick inning of 50 runs in 28 balls.

But the debate between Bavuma and De Kock during DRS was more discussed than the wicket. Pictures of the two pointing fingers and arguing were captured on camera. The tone of the conversation appeared quite sharp. After this Yansen tried to pacify both of them. Dickock went away from there after some time.

Talking about the match, South Africa defeated Australia by 32 runs and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. With this win, South Africa registered its fifth consecutive win against Australia at home. All these victories have been achieved while batting first.

South Africa has also improved its record in terms of winning bilateral ODI series against Australia. Out of 16 bilateral series with three or more matches, South Africa has now won 10 series.

In the second ODI, Bavuma played the captaincy innings and scored a century. David Miller supported him and he also scored a brilliant century. After the win, Bavuma praised the performance of the entire team and said that the team handled the situation well after a difficult start. He cited Miller’s innings and good performance under pressure from the bowlers as the important reasons for the victory.
