Hisar: Under the successful leadership and guidance of Superintendent of Police, Hisar, Shri Siddhant Jain, the campaign being run by Hisar Police against drugs is not limited to mere action, but continuous efforts are being made towards treatment, counseling and connecting the drug victims with the mainstream of the society.
Nukkad Sabha organized in village Dhandhur
In this series, an anti-drug awareness campaign was conducted by the de-addiction police team Hisar in village Dhandhoor of police station Sadar Hisar area. In the street meeting organized during this period, villagers were given detailed information about the physical, mental, social and economic harm caused by drug addiction. The team appealed to the villagers to come forward collectively against drugs, cooperate in keeping the youth away from drugs and give any kind of information related to drug smugglers to the police. Important information related to the problem of drug smuggling and addiction was also obtained from the villagers by the police team.
Trust with treatment: Police team reaching out to drug addicts
Under the de-addiction campaign, two drug addicts were identified in Hisar district today and for the first time, Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines were provided to two drug addicts from Civil Hospital, Hisar.
Apart from this, 07 drug addicts were given Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines from Civil Hospital, Hisar for the second time. Along with getting blood tests done for these victims, counseling was also done.
For the first time, the de-addiction police team visited the homes of 05 drug addicts of Hisar area including village Dhandhur and provided them Ayurvedic medicines. In this way, work was done to provide treatment and medicines to a total of 14 drug addicts today.
Another drug addict took help of treatment
The efforts of the de-addiction police team to continuously explain, motivate and encourage the drug addicts for treatment yielded positive results. Inspired by the team, one drug addict entered the de-addiction center at Civil Hospital, Hisar for treatment.
SP's message: Treatment and social support necessary
Superintendent of Police, Hisar said that along with police action, treatment, awareness and social support are also very important in the fight against drugs. The effort of Hisar Police is to provide treatment and right direction to every person who is addicted to drugs instead of seeing them as criminals, while strict action as per the law will continue against the people selling drugs.

Hisar Police appealed to the general public not to consider the fight against drugs as just a police campaign, but make it a collective responsibility of the society.
