Big relief to Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam from High Court before elections, bail granted in two PAN card cases.

Azam and Abdullah Azam Get Bail: Samajwadi Party's senior leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan have got a big relief from Allahabad High Court in a big case. The court has accepted the bail applications of both father and son in the case related to possession of two different PAN cards. Along with this, the High Court has also suspended the sentence awarded by the lower court. However, this relief is not completely innocent for both the leaders, because the court has completely rejected the demand to stay their conviction. A single bench of Justice Samit Gopal has given this important decision on the petition filed by both the leaders.

The decision of the lower court was challenged

This entire controversy is related to the allegations of Abdullah Azam getting two birth certificates and two different PAN cards made. In this case, the lower court of Rampur had convicted both Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam and sentenced them. Both the leaders had approached the Allahabad High Court against this decision of the lower court. He had filed a criminal revision petition in the court. Through this petition, mainly three demands were made from the court, which included staying the conviction of the lower court, suspending the sentence and releasing him on interim bail till the final disposal of the case.

The court had reserved the order regarding the decision

There was a long and heated debate on this matter in Allahabad High Court. After hearing the arguments of both the prosecution and defense in detail, the court had reserved its decision on October 15. Now a relief news has emerged for Azam's supporters who were waiting for the decision. The court has given its final decision after carefully studying the legal arguments of both the parties. After this decision, the expectations of both the leaders coming out of jail have increased significantly, due to which there is a wave of happiness among the local workers and supporters of Samajwadi Party.

Half relief and half challenge remains

This decision of the court is considered very balanced from the legal point of view. The High Court has made it easier for Azam Khan and his son to come out of jail by granting them bail and staying the sentence, but has also given a big blow by not staying the conviction. According to legal experts, unless the court completely stays the conviction of any public representative or leader, his election contesting and political future remains under threat. Due to the conviction being intact, the legal restrictions imposed on Abdullah Azam's electoral future may continue for the time being.

There is pressure on other legal matters too

The troubles of Azam Khan and his family are not limited to this one matter only. In recent times, the Enforcement Directorate has also increased the pace of its investigation against him. Taking action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the investigating agency has attached many lands and buildings belonging to Mohammad Ali Jauhar University. The establishment and operation of this university has been a part of Azam Khan's dream project. In such a situation, getting bail in the PAN card case is definitely a big relief for the Azam family, but they have not been completely freed from the ongoing legal proceedings in other cases.
