Bad news for those going to Nepal! Balen government suddenly changed the rules, now entry will not be allowed without this paper

New Delhi/Kathmandu: Now a new wall seems to be rising between the decades old ‘Roti-Beti’ relationship between India and Nepal. If you are also planning to visit Nepal or go for some work, then this news is very important for you. Since Saturday morning, security arrangements have been suddenly tightened on the India-Nepal border, causing panic in the border areas.

ID card now mandatory to enter Nepal

The Balen government of Nepal has issued a strict instruction for Indian citizens. Now it will be mandatory for Indian citizens to show a valid ID card to enter the border of Nepal. As soon as this order was implemented, an atmosphere of chaos was created at Jogbani border. SSB and Nepal Police are now conducting intensive searches of every person crossing the border. Those who do not have identity cards are being turned back through the barricades.

Increased difficulties for traders and tourists

Araria district of Bihar shares a border with Nepal for about 90 kilometers. People used to come and go in these areas daily without any restriction, but now long queues of vehicles and pedestrians have formed. Due to this new strictness, traders, patients going for treatment and tourists are facing a lot of problems. Local people say that earlier the movement was very normal, but now every person is being checked.

Nepal strict on China’s ‘nefarious’ conspiracy

Nepal administration has taken this step in view of security concerns and illegal infiltration. In fact, in recent times, incidents of infiltration of Chinese citizens into India through Nepal have increased. Three days ago, a Chinese citizen Zhou Huan was caught without valid documents from Jogbani border of Araria. He had entered India on a scooter with Nepali number. The police headquarters has issued an alert after this incident.

High alert issued in border districts

In view of the suspicious activities of Chinese nationals, police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have been put on high alert in districts like Bettiah, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Madhubani in North Bihar. Police have been instructed to regularly check hotels and lodges in their areas so that any suspect can be identified. Nepal Police is also now keeping a close watch on every activity along the border with additional security personnel.
