New Bajaj Pulsar to be launched next month!
Bajaj Auto has officially announced that its new Bajaj Pulsar will be launched in the market on August 12. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Pulsar brand, Bajaj has planned the biggest makeover of its iconic bikes. The company plans to launch as many as 10 new Pulsar models in the 125 cc to 160 cc segment in the coming months. The first bike to be launched on August 12 is most likely to be the next-generation ‘Pulsar 160’. However, an updated ‘Pulsar N160’ or a new ‘Pulsar 125’ can also be launched.
Importance of Pulsar 150 and new changes
Launched in 2001, the Pulsar 150 has given the company a big name in the Indian market. The new bike is likely to be based on a completely new platform. It will include a new chassis, updated engine and modern features. The biggest mechanical change is that the old twin rear shock absorbers in this bike can be replaced with a central rear monoshock suspension.

Design and look
The muscular fuel tank and the same sturdy structure of the Bajaj Pulsar will be retained. However, the bike will get a sportier look due to the more angular bodywork, redesigned tank shrouds, new side panels and a full LED lighting system. The spy images seen during the recent testing also show that there have been major changes in this bike.
Modern features
This new Pulsar will be more high-tech in terms of features. It is likely to get a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts.

What will be the company’s future plans?
Bajaj Auto’s Joint MD Rakesh Sharma has hinted at major changes to the entire Pulsar series in the company’s quarterly report. Apart from this, the company is preparing to launch its first fully electric bike in the next financial year, which will initially be made available for export and then for sale in the Indian market.
