The issue of the lathicharge and use of pellet guns on students in Delhi has now escalated. Following the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) chief Abhijeet Deepke has also demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He categorically stated that Amit Shah should resign immediately. Speaking to the media after returning to his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Deepke alleged that the Home Minister must have directly ordered the use of force against peacefully protesting students during the “Sansad Chalo” march on July 20. Expressing concern over the current situation in the country, he said that democracy is under threat and the role of many major institutions, including the judiciary, is being questioned.
If CJP has received outside funding, it’s the Home Minister’s failure: Deepak
Continuing his argument, Abhijeet Deepak launched a scathing attack, saying that if it’s being said that the “Cockroach Janata Party” is receiving outside funding or that this entire movement is being operated from outside, it exposes the complete failure of a prominent figure like the country’s Home Minister, Amit Shah. He questioned, “If the CJP is being run from outside, then why is such a Home Minister called ‘Chanakya’?” He emphasized that the police action against students on July 20th was ordered by none other than Amit Shah himself.
Saving democracy is no longer just the opposition’s responsibility, but also the general public’s responsibility
Addressing reporters, the CJP chief said that saving the country’s democracy is no longer just an issue for the political opposition; the common people will also have to unite and take to the streets to save it.
Taking a dig at the country’s major investigative agencies and institutions, he said that the judiciary itself is now facing numerous questions. We have all witnessed how central agencies like the ED and CBI were misused to break strong parties like the Shiv Sena and the NCP. The true duty of these major institutions was to protect democracy, not to promote the dictatorship and arbitrariness of one person, but unfortunately, this is precisely what was allowed to happen.
Sharp Remarks on Union Minister Prahlad Joshi
Abhijit Deepak also strongly criticized the appointment of Prahlad Joshi as the new Education Minister in the Central Government, calling him a strange person. He made serious allegations, saying that if the country’s Education Minister is involved in such statements or actions, it clearly means that after Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, the government has installed another such person in the position. He alleged that during this government’s tenure, prisoners like Ram Rahim are easily released on parole, sending a wrong message to the people of the country.
A massive student protest took place at Jantar Mantar under the leadership of the CJP.
It should be noted that under the leadership of the Cockroach Janata Party, students and youth from across the country held a massive demonstration against the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. During this protest, strong demands were made for compensation of ₹1 crore to the families of the deceased students and the resignation of the then Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. Renowned social activist Sonam Wangchuk led this historic movement through a hunger strike and a fast unto death. After his health deteriorated, he was forcibly taken to the hospital. Ultimately, the government had to yield to these legitimate demands of the students, and the Education Minister had to resign.
