The Pune-based bike manufacturing giant Bajaj Auto has just updated its second most expensive bike, the Pulsar NS400Z, in India with a new 5-inch TFT display. It has also given this naked streetfighter motorcycle additional technology features. The updated NS400Z gets Google Maps mirroring, four Ride Modes, Traction Control management, Music Control and a Lap Timer, among other features.
The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has been priced at Rs 1,90,015 (ex-showroom Delhi). As stated, the biggest update on the NS400Z is the new 5-inch TFT instrument console. The new display adds a number of riding and connectivity functions together in one interface. The TFT console supports Google Maps mirroring, which will help riders to access navigation information through the motorcycle’s display.
Apart from this, it also provides access to Music Control, Document Storage and a Lap Timer. The new display also helps riders in managing the motorcycle’s four Ride Modes and Traction Control. Bajaj has also added a number of new functions without making major changes to the motorcycle’s existing performance package.

Along with the new TFT console, the updated Pulsar NS400Z also gets a USB Type-C port. Another new addition is the Panic Brake Alert. The motorcycle continues to offer the same four Ride Modes and Traction Control as part of its electronic riding package.
Mechanically, the Pulsar NS400Z has been kept unchanged. It will offer the same 349cc, four-valve, DOHC liquid-cooled engine. It is capable of producing 40 PS at 9,000 rpm and 33 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission and gets an Electronic Throttle Body. The motorcycle also offers a claimed power-to-weight ratio of 229 PS per ton.
Bajaj has also retained the existing performance hardware. This includes the 43 mm USD front suspension and dual-channel ABS. The combination of the engine, electronic features and suspension setup has been tuned to provide a sporty riding experience. In terms of the design, the Bajaj NS400Z remains the same and boasts the same aggressive naked sports motorcycle design.

Commenting on the launch, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd, stated, “For over 25 years, Pulsar has evolved with the changing needs of riders while staying true to the performance and attitude at the heart of the brand.”
Kanade added, “The NS400Z has always been built around an engaging performance experience, and with this update, we have added advanced technology that brings greater convenience and connectivity to the way riders use their motorcycle today. We have retained what makes the NS400Z distinctive while making the riding experience more intuitive and definitely daring.”

Apart from the launch of the new NS400Z, Bajaj Auto is currently also working on the development of a brand-new affordable adventure motorcycle. The upcoming Bajaj adventure motorcycle is expected to launch in India around late 2026, with an estimated price between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh.
It is expected to use a 249cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine borrowed from the Pulsar N250, producing around 24 bhp and 21.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is expected to get tuned gearing, rugged enduro-inspired styling, a high-mounted front fender and a single-piece seat. The bike will also get wire-spoke wheels, long-travel suspension and dual-channel ABS.
In terms of features, the upcoming Bajaj adventure motorcycle is expected to get a digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The motorcycle could be launched around the festive season or in December 2026, while an international reveal could take place earlier. Bajaj could also use the trademarked Trekker name for the upcoming motorcycle. Once launched, it is expected to rival the Hero Xpulse 210, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
