Bandar X Review: ‘Don’t wait for it to release on OTT’, Bobby Deol’s film has a special message:
Read, Digital Desk : Bobby Deol has had a super successful second innings in Bollywood and post Animal, he was seen in Anurag Kashyap’s crime thriller Bandar as TV Superstar who faces allegations of rape by his ex-girlfriend.
A number of audience members who had a chance to watch ‘Monkey’ in the cinema halls on the opening day have already posted their reviews on social media and have stated that nobody should wait for the film to be released on the OTT platforms. Some of them have even said it’s a “100 out of 100”.
The message in Bobby Deol’s film has certainly struck a chord with the viewers.
In his crime thriller ‘Bandar’, Anurag Kashyap has attempted to throw light on the #MeToo movement and the condition of inmates in the prison but the audience opines that he has something more to say as well. A user who watched the film wrote “Original Bollywood is back. Bobby Deol delivers his finest performance of career as Sameer Mehra. Anurag Kashyap is seen back in his raw, dark and absolutely unfiltered zone. Courtroom drama, media trial… The battle of truth and power, don’t wait for it to come on OTT.”
Another user shared “If you love films, do yourself a favor and watch Bandar. A brilliant film, this one voices against the discriminatory laws in society. Anurag Kashyap is a master storyteller. The madness from Bobby Deol, just amplified my respect for him.”
The audience member who watched the film further penned “Bandar…is a masterpiece film in content, and a superhit one for sure.”
‘Bandar’ is a complete entertainer with an interesting story.
A viewer posted “Surprise… This is an entertaining film with an engaging story, but with an average direction and execution that could have taken more time.” Another user said “Powerful, Bobby delivers a stellar performance in Anurag Kashyap’s dark prison drama that explores justice, trauma, and public perception.”
Another individual also said “The most powerful part of the monkey is its sentiment which is real. Men are expected to shut their mouths when even they face public embarrassment. It’s invisible emotional burden which cannot be seen by most people but it exists, so yes men’s voices should be heard and not silenced.”
Overall, Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ is receiving love and positive feedback from the audiences, the film is yet to be seen whether it manages to stay strong at the box office like it did on its opening day.
