The only goal is to establish alternative politics in Bihar

Said that Jan Suraj has been the aim of his life for the last four years and for the next ten years also his only aim will be to establish alternative politics in Bihar. He said that he considers the responsibility of contesting elections from Bankipur not as a personal achievement but as an important milestone in taking forward the movement of Jan Suraj. According to him, there was some disappointment among Jan Suraj’s supporters after the 2025 assembly elections, but victory in Bankipur will give new energy to the thinking of change in Bihar.

‘I am contesting elections on the request of workers and public’

Prashant Kishor said that for the last one and a half month, party workers and voters of Bankipur were continuously urging him to contest the elections himself. People believed that if they wanted to bring political change in Bihar, they themselves should contest the elections. He said that respecting this sentiment, he has accepted the decision to contest the elections. He assured that if the public elects him as their representative, he will do his best to live up to their expectations and trust.

‘Bankipur election, public opinion on NDA government’

Prashant Kishor termed the by-election as a referendum on the six-month tenure of the NDA government led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. He said that this election will be the public’s decision on the policies, working style and leadership of the government. He said that if BJP wins this election then it will be considered that the people of Bihar agree with the policies and functioning of the government. But if BJP loses, the government will have to accept that its functioning and governance style is not acceptable to the public.

Questions raised on Samrat Chaudhary’s leadership

Prashant Kishor also raised questions on the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. He said that Samrat Choudhary has become the Chief Minister for the first time, but he was not directly elected by the public for this post. The public had given the mandate under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He claimed that a large section of Bihar does not trust the present leadership. He said that the people of Bankipur are considered to be the most aware and politically conscious people of the state. In such a situation, in this election the voters have an important responsibility to evaluate the policies of the government and choose the most qualified candidate.

‘The government will not change, but the direction of politics may change’

Prashant Kishore said that the result of Bankipur by-election will not change the government, but the direction and future of Bihar politics will definitely be affected. He appealed to the voters and said that if they want change in the politics of Bihar then they should vote in favor of Jan Suraj. Senior party leaders Rambali Chandravanshi, Kishore Kumar Munna, KC Sinha, Legislative Council members Afaq Ahmed, Kumar Saurav, Subhash Kushwaha etc. were present in the press conference.
