Ram temple donation controversy: Uddhav Thackeray’s ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ in Mumbai, targets BJP and warns – ..
The case of alleged donation scam in Ayodhya’s Ram temple is continuously gaining momentum. Politics has become completely heated regarding this issue. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray organized a massive ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ in Dadar, Mumbai to protest against this alleged scam. During the movement, Uddhav Thackeray made sharp attacks on the BJP government at the Center and Maharashtra. He warned those who misappropriate temple donations and said that the Hindu society will never forgive those who steal from the house of God.
‘We are staunch Hindus, not fools’
While addressing the crowd gathered in Mumbai, former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray made his stand on Hindutva clear. He said, “We are staunch Hindus and innocent at heart, but not fools at all.” Without naming BJP, he alleged that some people are looting the temple wearing the mask of Hindutva. Uddhav reminded that when Shila Puja, Rath Yatra and Kar Seva were taking place during the Ram Mandir movement in the country, Shiv Sainiks had participated enthusiastically. Many Kar Sevaks shed their blood and lost their lives. He said that in the difficult times of Mumbai riots and bomb blasts, only Balasaheb Thackeray stood as a shield to protect Hindus.
Sharp attack on PM Modi
Uddhav Thackeray made very harsh remarks directly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that due to the hard work of Shiv Sainiks and Hindus, those who are sitting at the top of power today are now trying to weaken Hindutva. Referring to the slogan ‘Ayodhya is just a glimpse, Kashi-Mathura remains’, he said that who knows what these people will do next. Uddhav said that today unwanted people are enjoying the pleasures of power and the common Hindu is feeling cheated.
Called SIT investigation a sham
Uddhav Thackeray also raised serious questions on the ongoing SIT investigation into the Ram temple offering controversy. Taking a jibe at the impartiality of the investigation, he said that it is like asking the thief himself to investigate a theft. He claimed that the result of this investigation would only be to give a clean chit to the accused. Uddhav bluntly said that those who tampered with the Ram temple have no right to take the name of ‘Ram’. He called upon all the Hindus of the country to unite and join the Ram Raksha movement.
