New Delhi, 30 October 2026: In today's digital age, most of our daily routine, from education to entertainment and online transactions, has become dependent on the Internet. However, along with this convenience, the risks of cyber fraud and online fraud are also increasing rapidly. Keeping this seriousness in mind, 'Cyber Dost' of the Union Home Ministry in collaboration with MyGov has launched a nationwide cyber crime awareness campaign for the year 2026, the main objective of which is to motivate citizens of all age groups for safe online behavior.
Under this campaign, citizens will be taught ways to identify online fraud, ways to keep personal information safe and ways to strengthen digital accounts. Along with this, practical training will be provided on what steps to take quickly and responsibly when a cyber threat arises. The ultimate objective of these campaigns is to create a highly conscious and secure 'Digital India'.
Many innovative initiatives have been included in this campaign to make citizens easily aware. This includes interactive quizzes related to cyber security, examples of quizzes based on real stories, creative activities and a digital oath taking process. Through these various activities, people will be able to check their security information. This campaign will specifically focus on the most prevalent online scams of today.
