Bengal Elections: Big earthquake before the results! This veteran leader made such an announcement, said- “Tomorrow both TMC-BJP will get a shock of 11000 volts”

Kolkata: The heat is at its peak in the politics of the state after the historic voting of the second phase of West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026. While on one hand Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are making sharp allegations of rigging and corruption against each other, on the other hand a hue and cry from the Left Front has spoiled the electoral mathematics. Veteran CPI(M) leader Mohammad Salim has made a claim just before the results, which has created a stir in political circles.

Called the war of words between TMC and BJP as ‘drama’

Mohammad Salim has termed the ongoing dispute between TMC and BJP as a complete ‘political drama’. He sarcastically said that both the parties are scared of defeat and have already started creating false stories to hide their possible defeat. Salim says that both these parties themselves have no idea what is going to happen after the counting of votes, they are just trying to divert the public’s attention from the real issues by making noise.

Will Left Front give surprising results?

Mohammad Salim believes that this time the heavy voting in Bengal will completely destroy the predictions of all the exit polls. He argued that election analysts often make predictions based on old data, but this time the equations on the ground of Bengal are completely new. According to Salim, this time a large number of new voters and those who had either not voted for the last 15 years or were prevented from voting by intimidation, have come out of their homes. This ‘Silent Voter’ is going to change the fortunes of the Left Front this time.

Hopes pinned on new and silent voters

In his address, Salim especially mentioned those voters who were away from the elections till now. He claims that the direct benefit of the mutual tussle between TMC and BJP is going to be to the Left in the form of a strong third option. Salim said with confidence that the results would be so unexpected that no one could have even imagined. His statement has come at a time when most of the exit polls are showing only a two-way contest (TMC vs BJP) in Bengal.

Will Mohammad Salim’s ‘surprise’ claim be true?

Salim believes that the people of Bengal are now fed up with the politics of polarization and are looking back towards the Left for peace, employment and development. Now the biggest question is whether Mohammad Salim’s claim of ‘11000 volt shock’ will become reality when the EVMs open on May 4? At present, his announcement has turned the Bengal elections into a triangular contest. If the new voters have really gathered in favor of the Left, then a new chapter is sure to be added in the electoral history of Bengal on May 4.
