BGMI International Cup to be held in Mumbai; KRAFTON India Announces H2 2026 Esports Tournaments

KRAFTON India has announced the schedule of BGMI Esports tournaments for the second half (H2) of 2026, announcing two major tournaments namely BGMI International Cup (BMIC) and BGMI Showdown (BMSD). Apart from providing an international platform to the Indian Esports sector through these competitions, the best teams of the country will get an opportunity to participate in world-class competitions.

The Grand Final of BGMI International Cup (BMIC) Season 2 will be held from 30 October to 1 November 2026 at the Dome, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Indoor Stadium in Mumbai. A total of 16 top teams including 6 from India, 5 from South Korea and 5 from Japan will participate in this tournament. Interestingly, for the first time in Mumbai, Asia’s best BGMI teams will come face-to-face on the same stage and battle it out for the prize money of ₹1 crore for the title.

Apart from this, BGMI Showdown (BMSD) is going to be an exclusive tournament organized for invited teams only. Top 48 teams from India selected based on their performance in BGIS, BMPS and KIE leaderboards will participate in the tournament. The tournament, which begins on September 22, will culminate in the LAN Grand Finals from October 16 to 18. A prize money of ₹1 crore has been announced for this competition as well.

Speaking about the announcement Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India said that it is the company’s stance that every new season should not only be bigger but also more capable in terms of the quality of competition. The BGMI International Cup will bring Asia’s powerhouses to Mumbai, while the BGMI Showdown will be an opportunity to honor Indian teams that have performed consistently throughout the season. This will give fans a chance to witness high-quality matches and provide a platform for Indian players to prove their mettle at the global level.

The BMSD tournament will be held in various stages like Promotion and Relegation Rounds, Survival Round, Semi-Finals, Last Chance Round and LAN Grand Finals. Due to this competitive nature, every team will have to perform consistently to reach the next round and the excitement of the competition will increase. According to KRAFTON India, the Esports sector in India is fast becoming mainstream. Major tournaments like BMIC and BMSD in H2 2026 will give Indian players the experience of international level tournaments, while fans will also get an opportunity to experience the thrill of world-class Esports tournaments in India.
