Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan He has demanded his resignation. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has also joined the movement. Earlier, Congress leaders took out a march from Mallikarjuna Kharge’s residence to the Prime Minister’s residence. Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media, “We have marched to Prime Minister Modi’s residence to demand answers about the atrocities on young students yesterday. The government neither wants to take responsibility nor discuss it in Parliament. Prime Minister and Home Minister should resign for ruining the future of India’s youth.”

During the agitation, several Congress leaders including Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have been arrested. Meanwhile, the police are talking to Rahul Gandhi. Several Congress leaders including Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Charanjit Singh Channi have been detained. Police are now negotiating with Rahul Gandhi to end the agitation. Police have parked two buses near the protest site. The police are now believed to be preparing to detain all the Congress members.
