Earlier, citizens had to go to the toll plaza and apply to get a local pass. It involved submitting various documents, waiting for verification and often going back and forth. Now that the entire process is online, the application can be completed within minutes. This will save time and avoid unnecessary trouble.

To avail this facility, motorists should download the official app of Highway Yatra on their smartphones. After that you have to fill the required information of the vehicle. The app itself takes care of further verification. After verifying the vehicle registration details and FASTag, the concerned person is given the option to get a digital pass if he is eligible. The pass is activated immediately after the entire process is completed.

Registration required for personal use

Certain conditions have to be fulfilled to avail this facility. The most important condition is that the permanent residence of the vehicle owner should be within a radius of 20 km from the concerned toll plaza. Also the vehicle must be registered for personal use. Commercial vehicles will not get the benefit of this scheme. It is also mandatory to have a valid and active FASTag on the vehicle. Also it should be linked with vehicle registration.
