In Nohar of Hanumangarh district, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh started a comprehensive public awareness campaign against drug addiction. Under the campaign, in a program organized in the subdivision office premises, flex and posters were released and the message of creating a drug-free society was given to the people.
In the program, Subdivision Officer Rahul Srivastava, Vice President of Advocates Association Mangeram Godara, Chairman of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Rajendra Sihag, General Secretary Prithvi Sahu and Vice President Gangaram Beniwal jointly launched the campaign.
Awareness campaign will be run from village to village
Bharatiya Kisan Union General Secretary Prithvi Sahu said that the youth of the area are rapidly falling prey to drugs, which is a matter of serious concern for the society. Keeping this in mind, the organization has started a public awareness campaign against drug addiction.
He said that Kisan Sangh workers will go from village to village to inform the youth and the general public about the ill effects of drugs and motivate them to stay away from drugs.
Appeal for cooperation from the general public
Bharatiya Kisan Sangh has called for making this campaign a mass movement and has appealed to the common people for cooperation. The organization says that only through collective efforts of the society, social evil like drug addiction can be effectively curbed.
The union urged the people to inform the farmers union workers if any person is involved in illegal drug trade in any village or area, so that effective action can be taken against the concerned people at the legal and social level.
There will be a movement against drug sellers
Chairman Rajendra Sihag said that Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will fight strongly against drug sellers and if necessary, a mass movement will also be launched. He said that the aim of the organization is to save the youth of the area from drug addiction and give them a positive direction.
He said that cooperation of administration, social organizations and common citizens is very important to build a drug-free society. Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will continue to make people aware by running public awareness campaigns in this direction.
