Big announcement for the youth of Uttarakhand! Dhami government will no longer be a job seeker but a job creator
Preparations have intensified to identify Uttarakhand not only as a battlefield or a tourism state, but also as a stronghold of science and modern technology. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made it clear that the path to development of the state will now pass through laboratories, research and technology. During a special state level program organized in the capital Dehradun, the CM said that unless science is connected to the daily problems of common people and the mainstream of development, the pace of progress will remain incomplete.
Actually, Dehradun based I.R.D.T. A grand program on the theme ‘Science, Technology and Innovation for a Prosperous Uttarakhand’ was organized by Pioneer Newspaper Group and Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) in the auditorium. From this platform, the Chief Minister gave a new vision to the youth, scientists and policy makers of the state.
Country’s 5th ‘Science City’ taking shape in Dehradun
The project that attracted the most attention during the meeting was the country’s fifth ‘Science City’ being built in Dehradun. The Chief Minister has issued clear instructions to the officials that school children from across the state should be made to visit this Science City on a regular basis.
The thinking of the government is very clear – if scientific attitude and curiosity to know new things is inculcated in children from childhood itself, then in the future many great researchers and scientists will emerge from the state. ‘Youth should become job creators and not job seekers’
Talking about the era of technology, CM Dhami said that today the world is not progressing only on the basis of natural resources, but knowledge and innovation are the real strength. Sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, drone technology and semiconductors are not only revolutionizing health and agriculture but also opening new doors of employment for the youth.
