While forming its new state team, UP BJP has laid special emphasis on promoting youth leadership. In this series, the party has appointed Rohit Mishra, a flamboyant leader who has a strong hold among the youth, as the new state president of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Along with this, Dr. Kritika Aggarwal of Prayagraj has been made the state vice president of BJP.

Who is Rohit Mishra, the new ‘captain’ of BJYM?

Born in Senani Nagar (Karanpur) of Pratapgarh, UP, Rohit Mishra’s father’s name is Devendra Mishra and mother’s name is Amita Mishra. Rohit Mishra has been recognized as a very active and militant leader in student politics. He was currently holding the responsibility of State Vice President of BJYM, but in view of his continuous activism in the organization, now the top leadership has increased his stature and given him the command of the entire state. Rohit Mishra has completed his Ph.D. from Allahabad Central University.

History was created on ABVP ticket, it has a strong hold among the youth.

The golden chapter of Rohit Mishra’s political journey was written in the year 2016. He contested the post of President in the Allahabad University Student Union elections on the ticket of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and defeated the Samajwadi Student Union candidate by 95 votes in a very tough contest. Rohit Mishra was the first candidate from ABVP to win the post of president after the university got central status. After this historic victory, his hold became very strong among the youth at the state and national level.

In this new team, Dr. Kritika Aggarwal of Prayagraj has also been appointed as the State Vice President of UP BJP, giving a big responsibility. While raising concerns about the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, she said that she will strengthen the organization on the ground and is fully prepared to give a befitting reply to the false narrative being spread by the opposition in the elections.
