Big change in Bihar, new CM Samrat Chaudhary has responsibility of 29 departments

Patna. A big change has been seen in the politics of Bihar. The new Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has divided the departments in the state government as soon as he assumed office. In this initial arrangement, he himself took charge of a total of 29 departments, keeping the largest share with himself. At the same time, 18 departments have been divided between the two Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.

Chief Minister has the most departments

Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has kept a total of 29 important departments with him including the Home Department. These include General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Surveillance, Elections, Revenue and Land Reforms, Urban Development, Health, Industry, Road Construction, Agriculture, Disaster Management and many important departments. Apart from this, departments like Scheduled Caste-Tribe Welfare, Backward Class Welfare, Information Technology, Sports, Cooperation and Environment will also be directly under the Chief Minister.

Division of departments among Deputy Chief Ministers

There has been a balanced distribution of departments between the two Deputy Chief Ministers. Vijay Kumar Sinha has been given the responsibility of 10 departments, while Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has been assigned 8 departments. This division is currently considered to be temporary.

There will be new division after cabinet expansion

According to government sources, this arrangement is temporary. The cabinet will be expanded in the coming days, after which the departments will be re-distributed by including new ministers. Till then the Chief Minister and the two Deputy Chief Ministers will handle the entire administrative system.
