‘Scam of Rs 100 crore, if we come to power we will recover every penny’: Amit Shah roared in Bengal elections, made big promises to Gorkhas
Kolkata. The political atmosphere is at its peak regarding the assembly elections to be held in West Bengal this month. As the voting dates are approaching, the war of words between political parties is becoming more intense. In this series, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing an election rally, has made a sharp attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Allegation of scam of Rs 100 crore in flood relief-
Amit Shah made serious allegations of corruption against the TMC government, claiming that a big scam has been committed in the Rs 100 crore fund sent by the Central Government for flood relief in North Bengal. He roared from the stage and promised the public that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is formed in Bengal, then every penny of this scam will be recovered and the culprits will not be spared.
Big promises made to Gorkha community-
In his address, the Home Minister also raised the sensitive ‘Gorkha issue’ of Darjeeling prominently. He assured that:
As soon as BJP comes to power, all the old and false cases registered against Gorkha leaders and workers will be withdrawn.
A permanent solution to the long-running demand for a separate Gorkhaland state in Darjeeling will be found within the ambit of the Constitution.
Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, he said that the state government always boycotted the meetings called by the central government to solve the Gorkha problem, due to which the problem remains unresolved till now.
Video address due to bad weather-
Let us tell you that Amit Shah was to address a rally in Lebong, Darjeeling, but due to bad weather his helicopter could not reach there. After this he communicated with the public through video message from Malda itself. He assured that he himself will be present in the public meeting to be held in Kurseong on 21st April.
‘Will eliminate mafia and goondaraj from Bengal’-
Attacking the TMC government on the issue of law and order, Shah said that infiltration and crime are at their peak under the current government. He promised the public that as soon as the ‘lotus’ blooms in Bengal, infiltration, mafia raj and goonda raj will be completely uprooted from the state.
