Under the first phase of Census of India 2027, the work of house listing and house counting in the district will be done from 02 May 2026 to 31 May 2026. The enumerators and supervisors engaged in this work will collect the data of each house through the mobile app.

According to the press release, this time the census will be conducted completely through digital medium. All data collected under the Census Act 1948 will be kept confidential and citizens have been appealed to provide correct and accurate information.

It has been told that before the start of house listing and enumeration, arrangements have been made for self-enumeration for the convenience of common citizens, which will operate from 17 April 2026 to 01 May 2026. For this, citizens can login to the portal and enter their family information themselves.

The self-enumeration process includes registration on the portal, OTP verification through mobile number, entering family details, identification of location, uploading required documents, final submit after preview. After successful registration a Unique ID (SE ID) will be issued, which will be used for further verification.

The administration has appealed to the people to actively participate in the self-enumeration and cooperate in making the census work successful.
