Big explosion in CNG station in Delhi, 3 killed; 3 seriously burnt

A big explosion occurred while filling gas at a CNG station in Delhi. The incident took place at the CNG filling station located in Tikri Kalan, outer Delhi. News agency PTI quoted police as saying that three people lost their lives and three others sustained serious burn injuries in the accident. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where their condition remains critical.

 

A fire official said the blast was reported at 3:37 pm. Six fire brigade vehicles were immediately sent to the spot. It is not yet clear what is the reason for the blast? However the matter is being investigated.

Delhi Police said that all the deceased are CNG station workers. While filling gas, six people were standing around the truck. Then suddenly everyone got injured due to the explosion. CNG station employee Manish died on the spot. The other companion Sunny died in the hospital during treatment. The third deceased has not been identified yet. The police is trying to identify him. The condition of all three burnt people is critical.
