Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed happiness over the ongoing initiative regarding Falgu River and called it an important step for the development of Gayaji. According to him, the blueprint being prepared for the revival of the river was discussed in the meeting held at the central level in Delhi.

The Falgu River is deeply associated with the religious identity of Gayaji. During Pitru Paksha, devotees from different parts of the country reach here for Pind Daan and Tarpan. In such a situation, due to better water flow in the river, devotees can also get convenience.

Along with the revival of Phalgu, it has also been said that work will be done on the possibilities of interlinking of rivers in future.
