Bigg Boss 20 host Salman Khan has reassured fans that there is nothing wrong with his health after a recent promo showing him appearing to suffer chest pain sparked concern on social media.
The promo showed Salman lying on the stage, holding his chest and calling for a doctor. The dramatic sequence led several viewers to worry about the actor’s well-being.
Salman later clarified through an Instagram Story that the scene had been misunderstood and that he was not experiencing an actual health emergency.
“Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God,” Salman wrote.
Why Salman staged the chest-pain sequence
Salman explained that the scene was part of a message directed at contestant Qazi Touqeer.
According to Salman, he deliberately acted as though he was experiencing pain to demonstrate why using someone’s health as entertainment could be problematic. He said the other contestants were unaware that he was acting and were genuinely concerned about his condition.
He also expressed disappointment with the way the sequence was edited for the promotional video.
Salman said the editing made the scene appear as though he was actually facing a health crisis, which, in his view, undermined the point he was trying to make to Qazi.
Salman apologises over the promo
The actor said the original intention of the sequence was lost after it was edited and presented as promotional material for the show.
He concluded his note by apologising on behalf of the channel for the way the promo was presented.
The show’s makers have since released another promo showing Salman confronting Qazi over his actions inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
Salman takes on trolls
The Weekend Ka Vaar episode also saw Salman address online trolling, including comments about his appearance and speculation surrounding his health.
During the episode, he responded to comments about his bald look by removing his hat and T-shirt on stage.
“You guys want to troll me? I will show you,” Salman said, before challenging trolls to continue with their comments.
The episode also featured Salman speaking about online attacks directed at actors, including criticism of female artists over their appearances.
