India’s most popular reality show ‘ Bigg Boss ‘ is all set to create history ith a new season. For the first time, JioStar has announced that it will simultaneously present new seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ in six languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali. All these seasons will be aired on JioStar’s television network and JioHotstar from September 2026.
In this new season, Salman Khan will be hosting in Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi in Tamil, Nagarjuna in Telugu, Kiccha Sudeep in Kannada and Mohanlal in Malayalam. Apart from this, the excitement of this season has increased as former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will be participating as the host in the Bengali version.
To mark this historic milestone, Geostar has also released an informative coffee table book, ‘India’s Big Reality’. The book takes a detailed look at the two-decade journey of ‘Bigg Boss’, its cultural impact, audience engagement and its importance for brands.
According to Geostar, in 2025, the ‘Bigg Boss’ franchise reached over 500 million viewers and recorded 438 billion minutes of viewing time. The six language versions saw a 47 percent year-on-year increase in viewership. More than 625 brands also promoted their products through the show.
The book notes that ‘Bigg Boss’ has become more than just a reality show, but a major digital and cultural phenomenon, thanks to a 24×7 live feed on JioHotstar, billions of votes, millions of live chats and huge discussions on social media.
