Police has made a big revelation in the murder case of 14 year old Mohit Raj in Bhojpur district of Bihar. According to the initial investigation of the police, Mohit’s mother Manati Devi was in a love affair with Santosh Kumar of the same village. Mohit used to oppose this relationship, due to which there were frequent disputes in the house. Police allege that due to this rivalry, at the behest of his mother, Santosh along with his associates killed Mohit. Police have arrested the mother in the case, while the search for Santosh and his other associates is going on. Mohit had gone to withdraw money from ATM, but did not return. Mohit Raj was a resident of Durgpur village of Tarari police station area of Bhojpur district. He studied in eighth grade and was the eldest among his two brothers and one sister. On the evening of 27th October, he had left home to withdraw Rs 6,000 from the ATM located in Karath village. When he did not return till late evening, his family members started searching for him, but no trace of him was found. Next day i.e. on the morning of 28th October, Mohit’s body was found near Birhar Karha of Karth village. There were injury marks on his body. As soon as the news of son’s death was received, there was mourning in the family. Mohit’s father Satyendra Singh alias Algu Singh had lodged an FIR in the murder case against his mother’s love affair. Santosh Kumar of the village was named in this, while two to three unknown people were also made accused. Police investigation revealed that there was a love affair between Mohit’s mother Manati Devi and Santosh Kumar. Mohit used to oppose this, due to which there were disputes in the house. According to the preliminary investigation of the police, due to this dispute, a conspiracy to murder was hatched and Santosh along with his associates beat Mohit, due to which he died. After this the body was thrown near Karha. Mother arrested on the basis of technical evidence Piro’s SDPO Kanhaiya Kumar said that technical and scientific evidence was collected during the investigation of the case. On the basis of these, the police have arrested Mohit’s mother Manati Devi. At the same time, continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the named accused Santosh Kumar and his associates. There was mourning in the family. Mohit was the eldest son of his family. His younger brother’s name is Rohit Kumar and sister’s name is Dolly Kumari. Father Satyendra Singh and other family members are shocked by the death of his son. After this incident, there is discussion in Durgpur and surrounding areas also. Police say that investigation into other aspects of the case is ongoing and the role of all the accused is being ascertained.
