Bihar government gave a gift, 1 big good news for pensioners

Patna. Giving great relief to lakhs of beneficiaries associated with social security schemes, the Bihar government has sent the pension amount to their bank accounts. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary transferred an amount of Rs 1,100 each to the accounts of 97.84 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme. With this step, the elderly, disabled people and widowed women of the state will be able to get timely financial assistance.

Pension will be given on fixed date every month

The state government has also made major changes in the pension payment system. Now the social security pension amount will be sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by the 10th of every month. With this, beneficiaries will not have to wait for payment and will be able to plan their daily needs better. The government believes that timely receipt of pension will provide financial stability to needy families.

Increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100

The Chief Minister informed that earlier under the Social Security Pension Scheme, the beneficiaries used to get Rs 400 per month. Now this amount has been increased to Rs 1,100 per month. The increased pension will provide more financial assistance to the elderly, disabled people and widowed women than before.

Who will get the benefit?

Three major categories under social security pension are getting the benefit of this scheme. Beneficiaries of Old Age Pension, Beneficiaries of Divyangjan Pension, Beneficiaries of Widow Women Pension Scheme, according to the government, funds are being provided to all these eligible beneficiaries in a time bound manner.

Missing eligible people will also be added

The Chief Minister said that efforts will be made to provide the benefits of the scheme to the eligible people who have not yet been able to join the Social Security Pension Scheme due to some reason. For this, eligible beneficiaries will be identified at the Panchayat level and after completing the necessary process, they will be linked to the scheme.
