Bihar government is providing help worth lakhs of rupees to the daughters from school to preparation for competitive exams.
Bihar government is running many such schemes for the students, through which financial help is provided for everything from school to college and preparation for competitive examinations. The special thing is that separate schemes have been made for daughters, Scheduled Caste-Tribe, Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class and minority community students.
First of all, if we talk about daughters, unmarried girl students who have passed 12th are given one-time financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana. Its objective is to encourage girls to pursue further studies. At the same time, girl students who have completed graduation from any recognized university of the state get assistance ranging from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 50 thousand under the Chief Minister Girl Child (Graduation) Incentive Scheme.
If you come from SC, ST, BC or EBC category and are pursuing further studies after 10th, then you can avail the benefit of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS). Under this scheme, study related expenses and other allowances are sent directly to the bank accounts of the students through DBT. Apart from this, Dr. of the state. Bihar government is also encouraging students preparing for competitive exams. Under the Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Civil Services Incentive Scheme, lump sum assistance ranging from Rs 30 thousand to Rs 1 lakh is given to the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) candidates who succeed in the preliminary stage of competitive examinations like UPSC, BPSC, NDA, CDS and Banking.
The government has also started separate schemes for students from minority communities. Under the Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, an incentive amount of Rs 10,000 is given to minority students who pass the matriculation examination in first division. At the same time, students living in recognized minority hostels also get financial assistance every month under the Minority Hostel Grant Scheme.
