Bihar News: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the state is not governed by any individual or coalition, but by the people, and that every decision is being taken with public service and development in mind. At a joint felicitation ceremony of the All India Kanu Halwai Vichar Manch and the Vanshi Chacha Social Development Council held at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna, he said that every day and every hour of the government is dedicated to the development of Bihar and the service of the common people.
One crore BPL families will get ration cards
The Chief Minister announced that 10 million BPL families in the state will be identified and provided with ration cards by March 31, 2027. Additionally, a target has been set to install solar systems on the roofs of 2.5 million families to ensure better and uninterrupted electricity.
Free electricity up to 125 units, congratulatory letters to those who save
The Chief Minister stated that Bihar is the first state in the country to provide the highest subsidy to electricity consumers. Of the state’s 19 million domestic electricity consumers , 17 million have been receiving up to 125 units of free electricity for the past year . He added that families consuming 125 units or less per month will receive a congratulatory letter from the government.
Big strides in the field of education
The Chief Minister said that a University of Architecture and Civil Engineering is being established in Muzaffarpur, named after Shaheed Jubba Sahni. He added that 211 new degree colleges have been simultaneously opened in the state, and all will be operating regularly within the next few days. 3,000 contract professors are being appointed to teach in these institutions .
Work is being done faster through the collaboration portal
The Chief Minister stated that 5.83 lakh applications have been received so far through the Sahayog Camp and Sahayog Portal , of which 5.33 lakh have been resolved. Notices have been issued to thousands of officials, taking action against officials who failed to complete their work on time. He clarified that every application will be resolved within 30 days.
Plans for development of Palvaiya Dham and better road connectivity
The Chief Minister stated that the necessary land will be made available for the overall development of the Baba Ganinathaji Maharaj Temple at Palvaiya Dham, and the government will provide all possible support. He added that improved road connectivity to Palvaiya Dham will be developed via Marine Drive within the next five years. Plans are also underway to strengthen connectivity from Sonpur to Mokama via the Ganga Ambika Path.
Pledge to return land to the poor
The Chief Minister stated that the government will remove illegal encroachments on the land of poor and vulnerable families and return their land to them. He assured that the government is fully committed to protecting the rights of the most backward communities. Additionally, under the Social Security Pension Scheme, pension funds are being directly transferred to the accounts of 11.2 million beneficiaries on the 10th of every month. He stated that the government is working tirelessly to engage all sections of society and advance Bihar on a new path of development.
