Chandigarh:Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Dhaliwal has launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He said that BJP has no support base left in Punjab, hence it is taking the help of ED. Instead of being an impartial agency, ED has now become a complete ally of the BJP. The Central Government is continuously carrying out dirty political conspiracies to defame the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab and implicate our Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and other senior leaders in false cases. A drama is being created by repeatedly sending letters with the aim of tarnishing the image of the Punjab government.
Mention of DGP's letter and absence of ED
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Kuldeep Dhaliwal, referring to the recent developments, said that on 28th, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab had clearly written a letter to the ED that the documents sent by them were not worth reading. The police administration had requested the ED to send a responsible officer to the police headquarters on the 1st and give correct information about these documents. But on the scheduled date, no ED officer reached the police with the documents. This clearly shows that the objective of ED is not to investigate, but only to defame the Punjab government and our leaders in the media.
Accused of stopping development works and harassing leaders
The AAP leader said that the only main objective of ED and BJP is to stop the unprecedented development work being done in Punjab and to defame Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ji and his family by mentally harassing them. Dhaliwal warned that the BJP should not forget that it has seen our senior leaders in jail, but the Aam Aadmi Party remained united like a rock. No matter how hard ED and CBI try, the people of Punjab will again form the Aam Aadmi Party government in the 2027 elections. Our leaders accepted to go to jail, but did not choose to bow down to the dictatorship of BJP.
Called BJP 'enemy number 1' of Punjab
