BJP made a big move in Bihar, changed the equation by making Arvind Sharma its candidate.

Sanjay Singh, Patna. Political activity has intensified regarding the Bihar Legislative Council elections to be held on May 12, but this time there is more discussion about one-sided equations than about the competition. By fielding Arvind Sharma (Surya Kumar Sharma) as its candidate, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not only given a strategic message but has also made clear the priorities of trust and leadership within the organization.

Reached the assembly and submitted nominations.

On Thursday, Arvind Sharma reached the Assembly and filed his nomination papers. On this occasion, many senior NDA leaders including Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi and former minister Mangal Pandey were present. This united presence of the leaders clearly indicated that the alliance is standing strongly in this election.

Seat vacant due to resignation of Mangal Pandey

This seat became vacant after the resignation of former minister Mangal Pandey. Earlier many names were discussed. Especially the name of Upendra Kushwaha’s son Deepak Prakash was being taken prominently, but due to lack of political consensus the situation changed. In such a situation, BJP changed its strategy at the last moment and expressed confidence in Arvind Sharma. Arvind Sharma is considered close to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. He has previously held the role of their office in-charge and is recognized within the organization as a calm, composed and goal-oriented leader. His long standing rapport with many senior party leaders also worked in his favor. This is the reason why amid the race for the ticket, he emerged as the first choice of the party leadership.

Arvind Sharma was associated with the organization

Political analysts believe that this selection is not just the selection of an individual, but an example of organizational balance and politics of trust. Through this decision, BJP has given the message that it believes in promoting its credible and grassroots leaders.

Talking about numbers, NDA has a clear majority in the Bihar Assembly, due to which the victory of Arvind Sharma is considered almost certain. This is the reason why till now no concrete strategy or activism has been seen from the opposition regarding this election. If the current situation continues then this election will remain a mere formality.

The possibility of unopposed election is also considered quite strong. If the opposition does not field a candidate, there will be no need for voting on May 12 and Arvind Sharma can be directly declared the winner. The tenure of this seat will be till 6 May 2030.

Enthusiasm among BJP workers

There was a lot of enthusiasm among BJP workers after the nomination. The party is seeing this as a sign of unity of the organization, confidence in the leadership and preparation for the upcoming political challenges.
