In the Lok Sabha elections, he had indicated his political ambitions by contesting as an independent candidate from Karakat seat. Although he did not win, but after this he increased his political closeness with BJP and now the party has shown great confidence in him by making him a candidate for the Legislative Council elections.

Sanjay Mayukh got another chance

BJP has also made current MLC Sanjay Mayukh a candidate again. His current term is about to end and the party has once again expressed confidence in him considering his experience. If he wins the election, he will represent the party in the Legislative Council for the next six years.

Voting will be held on June 18

The nomination process is going on and candidates can file their forms till June 8. The tenure of the selected candidates will be six years.

NDA confident of lead

Looking at the current numbers in Bihar Assembly, NDA seems to be getting a clear lead in these elections. Political analysts believe that the victory of NDA candidates on eight out of nine seats is considered almost certain. At the same time, the claim of the opposition grand alliance on one seat is considered strong.

Now all eyes are on the nomination and voting process. Especially the candidature of Pawan Singh has made this election more popular, because this is considered to be the biggest step of the Bhojpuri cinema superstar into active politics so far.
