BJP's new national team takes command, strategy made for election states including UP-Punjab; There was also discussion on strengthening the organization and service resolution campaign.
Tezzbuzz DeskBharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin held the first organizational meeting with the newly appointed national general secretaries on Thursday. This meeting held at BJP headquarters lasted for about four hours. In the meeting, the preparations of the states including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab which will have assembly elections in 2027 and the party's strategy were discussed in detail.
Former Union Minister Smriti Irani, Rajya Sabha MP Vinod Tawde, Satish Poonia and all the newly appointed national general secretaries of the party attended the meeting. BJP National General Secretary Organization BL Santosh was also present in the meeting. After the meeting, Nitin Nabin, while sharing its information on social media platform X, said that there was a detailed discussion regarding organizational preparations and strategy for the upcoming assembly elections.
The assembly elections to be held in 2027 are considered very important for BJP. Assembly elections are proposed in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat next year. Among these, BJP is out of power in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, while the party is in power in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Gujarat. In such a situation, in the meeting, along with keeping the government strong in the ruling states, the issue of improving the position of the party in the states occupied by opposition parties was also discussed.
BJP President has recently made Vinod Tawde in-charge of the party's political affairs in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas Satish Poonia has been given the responsibility of Punjab. These appointments are being considered important in view of the upcoming elections in both the states.
Apart from many important issues related to the organization, preparations for the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' to be organized on the occasion of completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public life were also discussed in the meeting. BJP will run this campaign for a month across the country from September 17. The party is preparing to convey the work of the organization and the government to the public through this campaign.
This is believed to be the first major organizational meeting held after the formation of the new team of the party. In such a situation, it is believed that keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections, BJP has started work towards activating the organization in the states and speeding up the election preparations.
