BMC Water Cut : Water cut for 2 days in ‘Ya’ area of Mumbai; A big update from the Municipal Corporation
BMC Water Cut | Brihanmumbai Corporation has given an important notice for Mumbaikars. On May 5 and 6, there will be a massive water cut in the eastern suburbs of Mumbai. This water cut will be due to essential maintenance works. Due to this decision of the Municipal Corporation, the citizens of Ghatkopar, Chembur, Mankhurd, Kurla and many surrounding areas will be affected.
On May 5, water supply will be completely shut down in some districts. In particular, many parts of F-North, F-South, L, M-East, M-West and N divisions will not receive water throughout the day. Areas like Chembur, Wadala, Mahul, Mankhurd, Govandi, Deonar, Shivaji Nagar will experience complete water shortage, while water supply will be severely affected in some places. BMC Water Cut
Although water supply will resume on May 6, it will come at reduced pressure in many areas. However, water supply may still remain erratic in some areas. Water problems are likely to persist in Kurla East, Tilak Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Chunabhatti, as well as Ghatkopar and Vidyavihar areas. BMC Water Cut
Pant Nagar, Garodia Nagar, Ramabai Nagar, as well as LBS Marg and Chirag Nagar areas in Ghatkopar may experience more impact in two days. Water supply is likely to remain disrupted in refinery premises and some industrial areas of N Division on both the days.
Chittaranjan Nagar and Rajawadi areas in Vidyavihar (East) will also face water shortage on May 6. Various important establishments including hospitals and residential complexes in these areas are expected to be affected by the water cuts.
The Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to store water in advance and use water sparingly during this period. Although this water cut is temporary, the administration has clarified that these works are necessary to improve future water supply.
