The leading luxury car production company BMW is all set to launch three new sedans in India this month. The company will launch its updated 7 Series and all-electric i7 on September 11. Along with this, the prices of the new i5 LWB electric sedan assembled in India are also likely to be announced.
The new BMW i5 LWB will be BMW's second electric car to be assembled locally in India. Bookings for this car have already started and it will be available in two versions namely Standard and 'First Edition'. In terms of size, the i5 LWB measures 5.1 meters in length and 3.10 meters in wheelbase, which is 100mm longer than the regular i5. It has an 81.6 kWh battery pack and an electric motor that generates 268 bhp of power. The car is claimed to offer a range of 669 km (MIDC cycle) on a single charge.

On the other hand, the BMW 7 Series facelift and i7 facelift will see major changes in design and features. These cars get a new illuminated grille, updated headlights, attractive DRLs and sleek LED taillights. The interior of the car gets modernized changes like a 17.9-inch main touchscreen with a new operating system, a 14.6-inch display for the front passenger and a four-spoke steering wheel. A 31.3-inch 8K touchscreen theater display has been retained for rear seat passengers.

Notably, the i5 LWB will get adaptive rear axle air suspension and higher ground clearance. Initially, the 'First Edition' of this car will be launched and only 99 units will be available for sale in India. It will get special features like 'FIRST EDITION' laser engraving on the dashboard, silver bronze accents and premium wood trim.
