Bollywood’s Sooraj Pancholi is once more in the spotlight, passionately addressing the swirling rumors linking him to the tragic death of Disha Salian. In a heartfelt statement, Sooraj underscored the fact that he has never crossed paths with either Disha Salian or Aaditya Thackeray, a prominent leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
The actor revealed that since being erroneously linked to this case, he has been bombarded with online vitriol and even death threats. This revelation follows the Bombay High Court’s directive for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to delve deeper into the mysterious circumstances of Disha’s June 2020 demise. The court did, however, caution that no one is to be deemed guilty unless proven otherwise.
Emphasizing his unfamiliarity with Disha and Aaditya, Sooraj wrote, “I’m reiterating myself because evidently, my words have fallen on deaf ears. I have never met the late Disha Salian or Aaditya Thackeray in my entire life. Not even remotely! Yet, the digital assaults continue. I’ve been unfairly labeled and threatened, with many assuming I am living in fear. But fear is not an emotion I entertain.”
Sooraj disclosed that his latest declaration wasn’t entirely what he wanted to convey, hinting at prior intentions to share more before encountering unexpected restrictions on his Instagram account, a situation still shrouded in mystery to him.
The Unfolding of Disha Salian’s Case
Disha Salian, who previously managed the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, met her untimely end just days before Sushant’s own tragic passing. Her life was cut short after reportedly falling from a building in Mumbai’s Malad area, initially recorded as an accident by the Mumbai Police, who dismissed any foul play.
However, the saga took a turn when Disha’s father, Satish Salian, petitioned the Bombay High Court for a renewed investigation. By September 2, 2026, the court had directed the CBI to take charge and file a FIR, opening a new chapter in this somber narrative.
