Delhi. Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, who is on a visit to India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Thursday and discussed ways to further strengthen India's partnership with the Aga Khan Development Network in key areas including healthcare, agriculture, rural development, youth and women empowerment.
The meeting between PM Modi and Prince Rahim Aga Khan V is expected to give new impetus to India's engagement with the network, especially in development programs aimed at improving livelihoods, expanding access to healthcare and strengthening opportunities for women and youth.

Who is Prince Rahim?
Prince Rahim last year succeeded his father as the 50th hereditary imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network. His first visit to India is on the invitation of Vice President CP Radhakrishnan.
During this, he met Vice President Radhakrishnan, Foreign Minister S. Met Jaishankar. He is also expected to meet President Draupadi Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah during the visit.
