Business Interaction by GCCI with Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ)

Ahmedabad, October 9, 2026 – Dubai Airport Freezone A business interaction with DAFZ was organized by Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) on Friday, 9 October 2026 at GCCI. The event brought together representatives of DAFZ and members of Gujarat's business community to gain a better understanding of the opportunities Dubai offers for business setup, market access and international expansion.

In this program, businessmen got the necessary information to set up office or business in Dubai. Besides, the benefits of DAFZ and opportunities for business expansion in UAE and other countries were also discussed.

Honorary Treasurer of GCCI, Shri Dhruvil Patel welcomed the representatives of DAFZ and the businessmen present while delivering the welcome address. He stressed the importance of connecting Gujarat's business community with international business centers and enabling them to explore opportunities for global expansion.

Subsequently, Mr. Apoorva Shah, Chairman of the International Trade Committee of GCCI, gave the outline of this meeting. He highlighted the role of international business platforms in facilitating market access, strengthening business linkages and creating business opportunities for Gujarat's industries.

Providing information about the Dubai Airport Freezone and the ins and outs of starting a business there, Ms Viji Vincent Palayure, Assistant Director, Business Account (Asia and Africa), DAFZ, introduced the participants to the business ecosystem of the Free Zone and the process of establishing a presence in Dubai. Subsequently, Mr. Motazabelah Mahmoud Elbeshebi, Senior Lead, Business Account, DAFZ, gave detailed information about the benefits, opportunities and incentives available to businesses through DAFZ.

In the discussion, DAFZ was presented as a strategic business and trade hub, providing access to global markets, business infrastructure and operational support. Through an interactive Q&A session, GCCI members discussed business opportunities directly with DAFZ representatives.
