BUV Career Fair 2026 offers fast track to multinational firms for students
The event drew more than 1,800 student participants, and over 50 companies across sectors, including Nestlé, KPMG, Savills, Marriott, Panasonic, GSM, and Grant Thornton, offering direct networking and hiring opportunities.

A central feature was the speed interview zone, where selected candidates bypassed initial CV screening and preliminary assessments to proceed directly to in-depth interviews. Hundreds of interviews were conducted, with some companies treating these sessions as official first-round evaluations rather than simulations.

Truong Thi Phuong Thao, in charge of Factory Talents and Organization Development at Nestlé, said the format helps identify potential candidates early and provides pathways to internships and long-term development programs. High-performing students may be considered for management trainee tracks.
Similarly, Vu Thi Ngoc Diep, Recruitment Officer at IPA Group, said the company is recruiting for its Management Trainee program and noted that many BUV students advanced to interview rounds during the event. She highlighted their confidence, open mindset, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Employers also noted the effectiveness of BUV’s full-time internship model, which provides students with more extensive exposure to business operations compared to shorter placements.
In the hospitality sector, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Learning and Development Manager at Capella Hanoi, said students demonstrated strong preparation, communication skills, familiarity with industry standards, and fluency in English and complex terminology.
“They come well-prepared, with a clear understanding of company operations and values. In the luxury hospitality, this thoughtful mindset and professional manner are precisely what make us trust and select candidates for potential roles right here at the event,” she said.
Beyond language proficiency, employers observed that students also showed the leadership mindset and ability to multitask. “What stands out about BUV students is that they do not position themselves as passive executors. Instead, they engage with businesses with a leadership mindset. Candidates show the ability to exchange, discuss, and even negotiate with recruiters as a business partner. These valuable competencies are not easily formed or trained in a short time,” the IPA representative added.

As the global labor market evolves, such capabilities are increasingly valued. Students are expanding beyond traditional career paths, exploring opportunities with multinational firms as well as flexible work models such as remote and hybrid arrangements.
In preparation for the event, students took part in the “Getting Ready Series,” a two-week program developed with input from career specialists, industry experts, and alumni. The program focused on interview techniques, CV development, and overall career readiness.
At the Career Boost Zone, students received one-on-one consultations from recruitment organizations and employers, including Navigos, iViec, LTS Group, Capella Hanoi, and Pro Guide Vietnam, helping them refine their profiles and improve competitiveness.
These activities, covering interview preparation, CV optimization, and professional presentation, were designed for students to approach employers with confidence and seize opportunities from the very first interaction.
