Today, the results of Assembly and Lok Sabha by-elections held in different states of the country have been declared and new political signals are also being given from these results. By-elections were held on two assembly seats in West Bengal, one Lok Sabha seat in Assam, one assembly seat in Puducherry and two assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. In these three states, the ruling parties had the upper hand in the by-elections. At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got a big lead.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won Nandigram and Rejinagar assembly seats of West Bengal. In Nandigram, BJP's Hasi Rani Rath secured 1,64,427 votes and won by a margin of 1,22,753 votes. In Jeenagar, BJP's Shankarav Sarkar got 1,29,914 votes. He defeated Aam Janata Unnayan Party candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad by 75,816 votes. NDA in Assam and Puducherry
Along with this, good news has also come from Assam and Puducherry for Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP also seems to be getting success in Nagaon Lok Sabha seat of Assam. This seat was held by Congress but in the by-election, BJP candidate is leading by more than 1 lakh 14 thousand votes (till the time of writing the news). At the same time, AIUDF is seen at second place and Congress party at third place. In Puducherry, this was the first election after the ruling AINRC took power in alliance with the BJP a few months ago. In this election, party candidate Ashok Anand has won by more than 8 thousand votes.
'Victory' in Tamil Nadu
Actor-turned-politician Vijay's party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) won Dharapuram and Madurantakam assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. Vijay's TVK has passed its first test by winning both Dharapuram and Madurantakam seats. With this victory, Vijay's coalition government will now be less dependent on its allies. However, he will still need the support of Congress to have an absolute majority.
This victory is considered very important for actor Vijay, who entered politics for the first time and directly reached the CM's chair. At the same time, the opposition DMK has attacked the government regarding these elections. MK Stalin said that Tamil Nadu by-elections were an open murder of democracy.

BJP has an edge
The results of the assembly and Lok Sabha by-elections of Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry have been quite good for the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party has won those seats in Assam and Bengal where victory was said to be difficult for the party. BJP's victory on these Muslim dominated seats is indicating the future of politics. Difficulties have increased for Congress in Assam. In West Bengal, CM Suvendu Adhikari has strengthened his hold and Mamata Banerjee's TMC including Congress and other factions formed after breaking away from the party have performed poorly. All BJP leaders including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah have congratulated for the victory in these by-elections.
