New Delhi: The Central Government has launched an important facility for retiring central employees. Now after retirement, the process of making Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) pensioner card will become much simpler and faster than before. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has linked the CGHS online system with the Bhavishya portal, making the entire application process almost paperless and digital.
Now application will be done through Bhavishya portal only
Under the new system, central employees will not need to apply separately for CGHS Pensioner Card on any other portal. Employees will be able to apply online only through Bhavishya portal. The special thing about this system is that the portal will automatically get many information related to the employee’s service and pension. With this, there will be no need to fill the same information again and again or upload the documents again.
Facility will be available immediately after retirement
The government has designed this system in such a way that after retirement, employees do not have to wait long for health services. The process of application scrutiny, verification and approval will be faster than before. After deposit of prescribed contribution, employees will also be able to download their CGHS Pensioner Card online and start availing the benefits of the scheme without any delay.
Digital process will save time
The integration of CGHS and Bhavishya portal is expected to make the entire process more transparent and simple. Due to the digital system, common errors occurring in the application will be reduced and disposal of files will also speed up. The government believes that this will save time of employees and the departmental functioning will also become more effective.
Many facilities are available on Bhavishya portal
Bhavishya portal is already providing many online services related to retirement and pension of central employees. Through this, employees can avail important facilities like e-PPO, pension slip, Form-16 and digital life certificate. Now after adding the facility of CGHS Pensioner Card, this portal has become a unified platform for most of the services related to retirement.
