Raipur. A selection trial has been organized on 23rd September and 24th September for admission and renewal of admission in non-residential sports academies run in Raipur district by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department of the State Government.

A selection trial has been organized on 23rd September and 24th September for admission and renewal of admission in non-residential sports academies run in Raipur district by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department of the State Government. Players willing to participate in this can register on September 23 at Swami Vivekananda Stadium in Kota, Raipur from 7 am to 11 am. To appear in the selection trial, it will be mandatory to provide Aadhaar card, residence certificate, birth certificate or certified marksheet mentioning date of birth.
Sports and Youth Welfare Department officials said that the selection trials for non-residential boys and girls archery and girls football (girls) will be held on September 23 at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Kota and Archery Arena (in front of Girls Sports Hostel). Whereas the selection trials for non-residential boys-girls hockey and boys-girls athletics have been organized on 24th September at Swami Vivekananda Stadium Kota and Hockey Stadium Pitch-02 from 7 am.
Boys and girls players of the state and players in the age group of 13 to 17 from other states can participate in the selection trial. On September 23, registration, document test, medical test, physical efficiency test and sports skill test of football and archery players will be done at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Kota and Archery Arena, Raipur. On September 24, registration, document test, medical test, physical efficiency test and sports skill test of hockey and athletics players will be held at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Kota and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium Pitch-02.
Players will be selected by the selection committee on the basis of excellent performance in the selection trial. Under the Sports Academy Operating Rules, 2014, facilities like free training, sports apparel, playing kit, insurance and scholarship etc. will be provided by the government to the finally selected players.
