New Delhi, August 4. Chairman of South Zone, Dharamveer Singh, on Monday paid a courtesy call to District Project Officer Chandra Prakash and Project Coordinator Jai Bhagwan at the office of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA-South) located at South District Magistrate Office and discussed in detail various important issues related to public interest, disaster management and overall development of South Delhi.
During the meeting, several important points were discussed to make the disaster management system more effective, robust and people-centric, to improve quick relief and rescue operations in emergency situations and to strengthen the safety and facilities of the citizens.
Dharmveer Singh said that in the changing circumstances, strengthening the disaster management system with modern resources and better coordination is the need of the hour, so that prompt and effective assistance can be provided to the people in any emergency. He called on officials to make coordinated efforts, giving top priority to the interests of citizens.
On this occasion, Dharamveer Singh expressed his gratitude to all for the warm welcome and respect given by the officers and employees of DDMA (South) office and said that overall and balanced development of the area can be ensured only through better coordination between the administration and public representatives.
