Chhattisgarh News: During his visit to Surguja, Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Aggarwal reached Nagar Panchayat Lakhanpur, where he met the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and had a cordial conversation with them. The Minister took information from the beneficiaries about the status of housing construction, benefits received from the scheme and problems related to housing. He said that it is the priority of the government to provide safe and dignified accommodation to every needy family.
PM Awas Yojana described as initiative related to respect and security
Minister Rajesh Aggarwal said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is not just a scheme to build houses, but it is an important initiative related to respect, self-respect, security and better future of poor families. Getting a permanent home gives families new hope and confidence for a secure life and a future.
He said that it is the government's effort to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries in a transparent and effective manner. Continuous efforts are being made to ensure that no needy family is deprived of basic facilities like housing.
Listened to the problems of the beneficiaries
During the discussion with the beneficiaries, the Minister seriously listened to the individual problems and needs related to housing construction. He asked the officials and local public representatives to work sensitively and promptly to solve the problems of the beneficiaries.
The Minister said that the real objective of government schemes is fulfilled only when its benefits reach the needy person on time. Earlier on September 11, house warming program was organized in 5,596 houses built under PM Awas, PM-JANMAN and Chief Minister Awas Yojana in Gorta, Lakhanpur.

Minister Rajesh Aggarwal met the beneficiaries and common citizens of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. 'Service Resolution Campaign' Appealed for active participation. He said that on the occasion of completion of 25 years of public life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this campaign is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of service, dedication and public participation.
He urged people to Light the 'Diya of Blessings' in your homes at 7 pm on 17th September. And join the Seva Sankalp campaign. According to him, this lamp lit in every house will give the message of service, positivity and social concern.
Appeal to join service and social concerns
The Minister said that just as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has spread the light of security and stability in the lives of needy families, similarly 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' will become a medium to spread the spirit of service, faith and determination to every home.
He said that various schemes are being run keeping poor welfare and public service at the centre. A strong foundation of a developed and self-reliant society will be created only when every family gets safe housing, respectable life and opportunities to move forward.
Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana also shared their experiences with the Minister and said that getting a permanent house has increased the hope of security, stability and better future in their families.
