Amethi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored Anganwadi workers, assistants, brilliant children and superintendents who have done excellent work in the field of nutrition, education and women's welfare in the state level honor and appointment letter distribution ceremony organized at the Government Inter College premises in Ayodhya. On this occasion, appointment letters were also distributed to newly appointed Anganwadi workers and assistants. The program was telecast live in all the districts of the state as well as in all the assembly constituencies of Amethi district, in which public representatives, officials, Anganwadi workers, helpers and a large number of women participated.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that Anganwadi workers and helpers play an important role in the health, nutrition and all-round development of the most important section of the society – mothers and children. He said that the state government is continuously working for women empowerment, child development and eradication of malnutrition and Anganwadi workers are the strongest link of this campaign. On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several important announcements in the interest of Anganwadi workers and assistants and announced increase in their honorarium.
The Chief Minister said that the honorarium of Anganwadi workers will be increased from Rs 8 thousand to Rs 12 thousand per month and that of helpers will be increased from Rs 4 thousand to Rs 6 thousand per month. Apart from this, it was also announced to provide them cashless health facility up to Rs 5 lakh. Along with this, all Anganwadi workers will also be given mobile facility to work on the Nutrition Track app.
Besides, the number of sarees provided as uniform will also be increased and other welfare facilities will also be provided. The Chief Minister said that continuous efforts are being made by the state government to equip Anganwadi centers with modern facilities, promote digital services and make maternal and child health programs more effective. He called upon the Anganwadi workers to play an active role in taking the schemes related to Nutrition Month and women and child welfare to the people.
Anganwadi workers and assistants present during the live telecast of the program in Amethi district expressed happiness while welcoming the announcements made by the Chief Minister. He said that facilities like honorarium increase and health security will prove helpful in improving their standard of living and this will inspire them to discharge their responsibilities with more enthusiasm and dedication.
During the program, information about various schemes run by the Women and Child Development Department, nutrition campaign, Mission Shakti, activities related to child development and women empowerment was also given to the participants. In the live telecast programs organized at various places in the district, Anganwadi workers and assistants listened carefully to the Chief Minister's address and appreciated the efforts being made by the government in the field of women and child welfare.
